A Warm Invitation to Church

My wife Jay did not like the tone of that statement and asked me to stop saying it. Tone aside, however, I mean it. I first said it to a person who accused me of evangelizing because I want more people to come to my church so offerings can increase. Our youth pastor lamented in a recent sermon, “We invite folks to a location rather than to the Person of Jesus Christ. That captures perfectly what I have felt all along. Too often, Bible believing Christians make it a habit to invite folks to a location. I decided years ago that I will never invite anyone to church without first tryin

Black Lives Matter - An Introduction to the Movement

In this episode we touch a little bit on the history of Black Lives Matter (BLM), we then distinguish between Black Lives Matter the phrase and Black Lives Matter the Movement.  We then dive into the BLM mission statement and compare and contrast their mission with the Bible.  Further, we looked at BLM ultimate mission of black supremacy and called out BLM for their racist agenda. 

We concluded by showing how different people groups (commonly called races) came about as the Bible teaches in Genesis -- then ended with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection from the dead for the salvation of all people groups -- All lives matter to Jesus -- and all can be saved if they trust in him.

The Barrier of Experience
