A Warm Invitation to Church

My wife Jay did not like the tone of that statement and asked me to stop saying it. Tone aside, however, I mean it. I first said it to a person who accused me of evangelizing because I want more people to come to my church so offerings can increase. Our youth pastor lamented in a recent sermon, “We invite folks to a location rather than to the Person of Jesus Christ. That captures perfectly what I have felt all along. The Great god Entertainment

In this episode of the Removing Barriers Podcast, we sat down with Evangelist David Sommerdorf to discuss the great god Entertainment. Entertainment has silently replace Christ in the life of Christians and has become an idol in today’s culture. 
 
Is it ok to watch whatever content that is produced? What principles should we follow when deciding whether the content we are about to consume is wholesome? Is the Bible silent on these issues? Listen as brother Dave eloquently expounds on the Word of God and offers biblical principles on how we should address entertainment in our lives.
 
We ended the episode with counsel from the Bible on how we can slay the god of entertainment in our lives, and a clear presentation of the gospel for those who are lost.

  9. Practical - Colossians 2:6
  10. Redemption - Ephesians 5:16:  Does it redeem the time or waste it?
